The second IPSSC Conference has concluded. This event was a huge success: 37 students presented their work and over 40 participants from industry visited the conference. We would like to thank all attendees for participating in this meeting.

Best paper awards

This year four awards were given: one for each study programme and one for the best conference paper. The commission consisted of:

    SIMPLE! Use the following registration form with your IPS eStudent account. In order to ensure enough beverage and refreshments, please confirm your attendance prior sending a paper.

    Call for Papers

    Students are invited to present their work in a short abstract paper not exceeding 1 page (A4 format) and a poster size A1, written in English or Slovene.

    We will also publish a Book of Abstracts, where every participant is entitled to two A4 pages in black and white: one page can be an abstract, while the other page can be the poster itself.

    Please see the template with detailed instructions.

    Poster Guidelines
    Please follow the instructions below closely:

    • Poster size is A1 ( 594 x 841 mm).
    • All posters must have the IPS header.
    • Author must put the following information on the poster: name, surname, school, programme, mentor, and author's picture.
    • All posters are required to conform to portrait orientation.
    • Prof. Kornhauser recommends that the poster is divided in scientific and application part.
    • Posters should be clear and easy to read. Type size should be sufficiently large to allow people to read from 2 meters.
    An example poster is attached here. If you have any questions concerning the preparation of your paper/poster please contact prof. Kornhauser or us via email bostjan.kaluza@ijs.si or kristina.elersic@ijs.si.

    Submission
    The authors should submit their files in .doc (abstract) and .ppt (poster) file format using the submission form, not later than May 2, 2010 May 7, 2010. For registration, please use your IPS eStudent account.

    May 27, 2010:
    Prize Draw Winner

    Ljubljanski Univerzitetni Inkubator, a sponsor of the IPSSC Conference, hosted a prize draw for a free workshop on topic Business Researcher. The lucky winner was Boštjan Kaluža. Congratulations!

    Extended Submission Deadine

    Due to several requests we have extended the submission deadline till May 7, 2010. To submit a paper please use the submission form.

    April 20, 2010:
    Demo session

    This year IPSSC will feature a demo session in which students will have the opportunity (5 min) to demonstrate the real, running systems they have built. The demo session will take place during the conference. Interested students are invited to send an email.

    Companies are invited to participate at the conference either actively by presentation, as visitors or as sponsors. Additional information is provided here.

    April 8, 2010:
    Best Poster Award

    The IPSSC conference traditionally provides a Best Poster award to the authors who display and present their work most effectively. The selection committee will consist of IPS professors from each study program. Award winners will be announced during the conference closing on May 27.
